Folienkondensatoren sind passive elektronische Bauelemente, die Kunststofffolie als Dielektrikum verwenden und stabile Kapazitätswerte, geringe Verluste, hohen Isolationswiderstand sowie zuverlässige Leistung über einen breiten Frequenz- und Spannungsbereich bieten. Sie werden häufig für Filterung, Kopplung, Entkopplung, Snubber-Schaltungen, Motorantriebe, Netzteile, Beleuchtungssysteme, Audiogeräte, industrielle Steuerungen und Automobilelektronik eingesetzt.
